Prof.   Richard  W.   Swanborg, Jr. 

President and founder of ICEX, has more than 30 years of business experience as a manager, consultant, researcher, professor and entrepreneur. His primary research interests include knowledge management, business and information technology (IT) strategies, and innovative IT management practices.

Boston University
He teaches business strategy and information technology at Boston University's School of Management. Prior to founding ICEX, he was a principal with the Ernst & Young Center for Information Technology & Strategy, the director of planning and operations at Index Technology, a management consultant at Index Group, and director of MIS at Helix Technology. He has written articles and frequently lectured to industry audiences on a range of business and IT topics.

He is a guest lecturer at Babson's Executive Education Center. He formerly co-chaired the Enterprise Value Awards process for CIO magazine and currently serves on its Editorial Board and as a Judge for the CIO 100 Awards. Mr. Swanborg is a graduate of Knox College with a degree in mathematics and computer science.
